        Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a kind of nonionic cellulose ether, which is made from natural plant macromolecular cellulose through a series of chemical processing. It is an odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white powder. Soluble in cold water and organic mixtures. In the production process of hand sanitizer, adding an appropriate amount of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose can effectively thicken. In addition, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is a non-ionic chemical that will play an irreplaceable role in the application of other thickeners, such as stronger stability, cold resistance, anticoagulation, and electrolyte resistance , better fluidity and a more brushed feel, plus the use of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose in hand sanitizer resists irritation and makes hand sanitizer gentler. At the same time, it has good water retention and film-forming properties for hand skin. Its biggest advantage is that it is safe, non-toxic and easy to biodegrade. Secondly, adding hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose to the hand sanitizer can also improve the foam, provide rich foam, make the hand sanitizer better in contact with human hands, and use less hand sanitizer to achieve better cleaning results.
